Meet Miss Stitch:
Miss Stitch is the illustrative guide of Happy Place to Create, my alter ego with green skin, pink glasses and timeless flair. She reminds us that perfection doesn’t exist and that everyone is equal. She loves crochet and illustration, and she lives with a gentle heart.
Through her Notes to Self, she shares small truths, a touch of softness, and always a playful wink.
In the studio, Miss Stitch also comes to life as a crochet doll, a soft companion and storyteller who is part of the space, not for sale but here to inspire and welcome.
And with her Boutique flair, she curates a playful mix of handmade treasures: crochet roses, cozy leg warmers, unique bags, and perhaps one day even small second-hand fashion events in the studio. The Boutique is not about trends, but about individuality. Each piece carries a spark of creativity and a thread of softness,
reminding us that real style is simply being yourself.

Miss Stitch
Miss Stitch is de illustratieve gids van Happy Place to Create,
mijn alter ego met groene huid, roze bril en tijdloze flair.
Ze herinnert ons eraan dat perfectie niet bestaat en dat zachtheid krachtig is.
✨In de studio leeft ze als gehaakte pop: een zachte metgezel die inspireert en verwelkomt.
Met haar Boutique flair verzamelt ze een speelse mix van handgemaakte schatten: gehaakte roosjes,
beenwarmers, unieke tassen, allemaal met een vleugje persoonlijkheid. En in haar kleine Mini Zines deelt ze verhalen
uit de wereld van de Happy Hearts, gratis mee te nemen, om te bewaren, te verzamelen of om door te geven 💫
The story behind her, from a tiny Mini, grew a Miss Stitch ;)
A world woven from wol, heartbeats and illustrations, where I always find myself again.
It started with a small doll. A Mini-me. Soft, simple, a mirror of the child in me. She carried my shyness, imagination, and the quiet strength I didn’t yet know. Later came Miss Stitch, bigger, bolder, with her pink glasses and green skin. She showed me I could create, that play doesn’t end when you grow up. She became my alter ego, my guide in gentleness and making. And then came the other versions:
the dreamer, the transformer, the woman who keeps reinventing herself. Each one telling a piece of my story: of searching, of growing,
of letting go. And always by my side, the little Yorkies – Woody, Dino, Remy, Flip, and now Dobby.
Tiny companions with big hearts, keeping me rooted in love and play.
From Mini-me to now it has always been one thread: a world of yarn,
hearts and Yorkies, paper with stories, and little zines where I always find myself again.
Het verhaal achter haar
Het begon met een klein popje. Een mini-me. Zacht, eenvoudig, een spiegel van het kind in mij.
Ze droeg mijn verlegenheid, mijn verbeelding en de stille kracht die ik toen nog niet kende.
Later kwam Miss Stitch, groter, moediger, met haar roze bril en groene huid.
Ze liet me zien dat spelen nooit ophoudt, ook niet als je groot wordt.
Nu zijn er meerdere versies: de dromer, de veranderende vrouw, de zachte gids. Elke Miss vertelt een stukje van mijn verhaal,
over zoeken, groeien en loslaten. Altijd met de kleine yorkies aan mijn zijde: Woody, Dino, Remy, Flip en Dobby.
Kleine metgezellen met grote harten, die me herinneren aan liefde, speelsheid en thuis.
Life Notes
Miss Stitch also creates her own Life Notes – illustrated cards with soft reminders and playful truths. A glimpse of her world, sometimes bold, sometimes tender.

Miss Boutique
Miss Stitch’s style is her signature - colorful, quirky and always handmade.
In the Boutique you’ll find her unique crochet creations: tiny roses, flower bands, strawberries, hair clips, hand and legwarmers, bold bags and playful accessories. Some are small treasures, others statement pieces, together they carry her flair, softness and a touch of whimsy.
Miss Stitch dolls-Special Editions
Miss Stitch also exists in unique crochet editions – from her Mini Me doll to themed versions like Miss Stitch USA, Miss Paris Stitch, and her playful transform animal versions. These dolls are mascots of the studio and part of a growing “mini museum”: pieces to admire, not to play with. In the future, some may appear as collectors’ items in small editions.

Our Mini Zines are free to pick up in the studio or at local coffee spots in Haarlem.
They give you a tiny taste of the Happy Hearts world,
a mix of crochet, illustration, and little truths shared by Miss Stitch.
